New book! I have translated an incredibly rare essay by Moreau de Dammartin, which influenced Éliphas Lévi in his development of correspondences between the Hebrew letters and Tarot trumps, Lévi's work in turn influencing the occultists of the Golden Dawn, who formulated the framework for Tarot as we work with it today. Workshops Workshops are for those curious to find out how to work with Tarot in ways that might stimulate creativity or provide access to self-development, rather than work with the Tarot for divination. Ideally you will have a basic familiarity with the Tarot, but it is not a pre-requisite. Part of the aim of the workshop series is to promote a cross-disciplinary approach, e.g. Tarot and art, Tarot and transpersonal psychology.
Revolutions, Reckonings and Resolutions: Negotiating Change Through the Tarot This day workshop aims to give you a better understanding and ability to negotiate change through examining and exploring how cycles of change (and even resistance to change!) are portrayed in the Tarot. We will study cards tracking macro cycles of change, and explore mythological concepts that can be associated with these. We will also look at cards helping to indicate how we might fine tune how we are negotiating change, and will use some spreads enquiring into changes we are facing, to better understand what they are and how we are facing them.
When: Following a successful run on 25 March 2016, 12 noon to 6pm, I plan to hold a repeat session in 2017. Where: London, venue tbc Cost: £50 To register and/or for more information, contact me. I can also work through the material with you via Skype - fee and logistics to be negotiated.
The Journey of the Fool This is designed to help boost and bolster anyone embarking on a creative enterprise and wanting to understand the creative process. It begins with an illustrated journey through the Major Arcana of the Tarot over the course of two lectures, introducing and exploring archetypes and how the Tarot provides a structure for personal and spiritual examination. Different decks and stories will be referenced, demonstrating how the creative visions of individual authors evoke and trigger a universal recognition of life experiences. Then every two days (or more, depending on your preference), you will be emailed a series of 22 set meditations on a regular basis, during which time you will meditate and explore working sequentially with the Tarot Trumps, experiencing for yourself breakthroughs, realisations, fulfilled intentions, and synchronicities.
When: Whenever you wish to start - and subject to my availability. Cost: £120 To register, contact me. I can also work through the material with you via Skype - fee and logistics to be negotiated.
